Flowgram.com Open Source Release
June 30, 2011

The source code to Flowgram.com, a startup that lived from 2007 to 2009, is now available on GitHub. Flowgram was my first full-time employer, and I'm happy to be able to keep alive some part of what we did.

We had an innovative product that was somewhere between a slide-show and a screencast. As the TechCrunch article said, "the best way to understand a Flowgram is simply to watch a few". That impossible now, since the service is offline, but this YouTube video explains the Flowgram creation and playback process.

Ultimately, we weren't able to get enough traction. Or as our second TechCrunch article said, Flowgram Was Cool. Now It's Dead. I got the source code from another employee, and kind permission to post it from the founder.
